But encourage one another daily, as long as it is called “Today”…- Hebrews 3:13.
The word “encourage” means to impart courage, life, and strength into. I need it. We all need it.
To encourage is not to look for weaknesses or faults in others. It observes the good qualities, habits, or attitudes that deserve reinforcement. To encourage is also to impart life to the weary.
At mile 21, a marathon runner was given out. His body and mind were depleted of its available energy. As he approached the road’s hilltop and about to give up, to his surprise, he sees his father and brother on the side lines. Their eyes connect. He hears their cheers. What happened next? Outside strength entered in. A new energy was imparted. It was encouragement and encouragement alone that empowered him to finish.
The home crowd advantage in your life’s race is real. Father God and many others are on your side. When God speaks, it brings forth life. You are made in His image. Your words carry the power of life also.
I’d be remis to write on encouragement and not encourage you personally today.
Here’s a small dose:
If you are the Lord’s, you are like an oak of righteousness before Him. Stand taller, think higher, care deeper! You will rebuild the desolate cities of ruin, and dwell in the spiritual house of the Lord forever.
God is in you, for you, above you, around you, and with you today. There is no where you can go that He is not. You have been given the gift of immortality. Death is merely the full release of that gift – so rejoice in life and death! You are strong, wise, and full of God’s strength. You WILL walk and not grow weary. You WILL run and not faint. You WILL mount up high like the eagle and those needing refuge will find there strength in you because of God’s presence on your life.
You are a child of God – chosen before earth was made to be holy. You have been created anew in Christ to fulfill the good and unique works which has been preordained for you. All your days were written in His book before a single one has come to pass.
We stand together and need each other to walk in our individual destinies, so stay connected.
Today, as it’s still called today, be encouraged!
