A Measure of Faith
“For through the grace given to me I say to everyone among you not to think more highly of himself than he ought to think; but to think so as to have sound judgment, as God has allotted to each a measure of faith.”
-Romans 12:3
Notes:
God gives us all a measure of faith as a gift. This is to say that everyone has the inherent ability to trust Him. We all have equal opportunity before Him in proportion to our faith and our willingness to yield to the Holy Spirit. We do not need to ask God for more faith, but only to strengthen what we already have. A bodybuilder does not need to have more arms to lift more; he only needs to strengthen the muscles he already has. As we do this, God uses the Word and faith as raw materials to start the process of manufacturing His kind of love in us to reach this world.
